About the Runner

I was born in Kent, grew up properly in Sheffield, was educated in Scotland and now live in Manchester with my partner and our adorable collection of books. I get around.

I graduated in 2014 with an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of St. Andrews. It was my third degree, but definitely my favourite. Since then I have been blogging here and there, written my first two plays for stage, and a poetry collection (so far unpublished). Extracts of which you might catch on this blog if you read back far enough.

I have published an academic essay on Tarantino’s music here, and a short story in an anthology here. You can also read about my experience of writing and staging my first play here.

I write because it’s the way I make sense of the world.
